Mrs. Mary Katherine Gallien, 59, mother of former Journal-Review reporter-photographer John F. "Jack" Gallien, died Wednesday in Home Hospital at Lafayette. Mrs. Gallien was the wife of Shelby W. Gallien, former Purdue professor now teaching at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. The Gallien residence is at 1324 Northwestern Ave., West Lafayette. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette. - jlr
